The Brown Daily Herald is an independent, student-run daily newspaper serving the Brown community. Today, the Herald has a print circulation of 4,000 and international online readership. A staff of 200 students are responsible for all of the newspaper's editorial and business operations.
The Herald has been published daily since 1891, except during the two World Wars. We report on breaking news, campus and city-wide developments, sports and other aspects of life on and around College Hill. The newspaper, ranging in length from 12 to 24 pages, is published Monday through Friday during the academic year. In addition to the regular newspaper, The Herald publishes an arts and entertainment magazine (post-) every Thursday and several special issues throughout the year, including a Commencement magazine traditionally coordinated by graduating seniors.
