At our annual banquet on November 19th, the outgoing 120th Editorial Board and business managers welcomed a new set of Herald leaders. The 121st Editorial Board (pictured left-to-right: Deputy Manager Editors Anne Speyer '12 and Britta Greene '12 and Editors-in-Chief Sydney Ember '12 and Ben Schreckinger '12) and a new slate of editorial, business and magazine leadership will take the reins beginning in January.

We are also thrilled to tell you that we are over halfway to meeting our $10,000 fundraising goal for this year's Annual Appeal. Since October, we have raised $6,000 in support of The Herald's Financial Aid Initiative.

The Herald's financial aid program began as a pilot program in 2006, thanks to a large donation by a generous Herald alum. It provides a confidential, need-based stipend of up to $1,000 per semester for Herald staffers whose time commitment at The Herald would otherwise prevent them from holding on-campus employment or work study.

The Financial Aid pilot program has given out over sixty awards so far. But to keep this valuable program running, we need your help. Click here to donate to The Herald Financial Aid Initiative. The Brown Daily Herald, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all gifts to The Herald are tax deductible.
